Born Oct. 24, 1935 at Rivers, Manitoba. Peacefully passing away Jan. 25, 2024 at Stanford Senior Village, Parksville, B.C.
George was predeceased by his mother, Ivy; father, Bruce; sister, Ida; and brother, Kenneth.
George worked on numerous runways at airports in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario for several years. Transferring to the Winnipeg office of Transport Canada, Aviation Division, and then Engineering & Architecture Department in April 1985. He retired Dec 31, 1994 and then moving to Vancouver Island.
George was a quiet man and well-liked by everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his younger brother, William (Colleen); nephew, Brent (Pam) and family; niece, Cheryl (Sean) and family; sister-in-law, Beverley; and several great nieces and nephews and many friends.
The Stanford Village staff are to be commended for their excellent service and wonderful care, as well as Dr. Thor Fridriksson for all of his help. The family would like to thank each and every one for sending love and condolences.
There will be no service as per George's wishes.
