GERALD WILLIAM BRIDGER
July 16, 1926 - June 9, 2015
Gerald William Bridger passed away peacefully on June 9, 2015 Loving husband of, Patricia; father of James (Anne-Marie), Elizabeth (Reig Outten), Ian (Julie), Manon (Dan Greer), Tomas (Cathy) and Scott (Kathy); beloved grandad of, Liam, Michele, Jeremy; Jerri, Sam, Riley, Daniel; Trevor and Ethan. Gerald was predeceased by son, Nicholas and sisters, Ruth and Peg.
Gerald’s full life began in England in 1926 and covered a wide range of interests from cycling to hobby farming. An electronic engineering career with Marconi (Britain and Canada), Channel 2 Venezuela, Raytheons, Telesat and finally Microtel Pacific Research, saw him and the family locate in Montreal, Ottawa, Caracas, Kitchener, Kemptville, California and Vancouver before he and Patricia retired to Qualicum Beach and devoted more time to movies and gardening.
A Celebration of Gerald’s life was held at Yates Chapel in Parksville, BC. Those who wish to make a donation in Gerald’s memory should contact the North Island Wildlife Recovery Association
