Harvey David Lalonde, age 67, born in Cornwall, Ontario, passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 4th, 2018.
He worked as a bus driver for School District 69 for almost 30 years, and was a strong proponent of workers rights for his entire career. He was an avid sports fan, a member of the 1976 Hardy Cup Champions, the Embrun Panthers, and loved playing hockey, baseball and golf. He also loved playing music, fishing and riding his beloved motorcycle.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Phyllis Lalonde. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Laura, daughter Ruby (Kyle), son David, sister Anne (Norm), brothers Brian, Shawn (Cathy), and Terry (Jo Ann), and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, teammates and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Harvey will be held at Nanoose Place on Sunday, July 8th, 2018 starting at 2:00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite sports jerseys.
