WICKETT, Helena Gladys
88, died peacefully at her home in Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC on Saturday, April 5, 2003. Born in Victoria, Helen lived most of her life in Victoria, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach, moving to Salmon Arm in 1993. She embraced with enthusiasm her friends, adventures big and small, laughter, books, her cats and, above all, her family. Predeceased by Dudley Wickett, her husband of 48 years, Helen is lovingly remembered by sons Ian and Roland; daughter Martha; daughter-in-law Lynne; son-in-law David; and grandchildren Claire, Darcy and her husband Brad, Allison and her fiancé Matt, Alex and Westlee. Family members in the Parksville, Qualicum Beach area include Roland and Alex; sister-in-law Hilda Wickett; and niece Valerie (Clair) Davies.
Funeral services were held at St. John’s Anglican Church in Salmon Arm on Tuesday, April 8, with the reception following at Bastion Place
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shuswap Community Foundation for literacy projects.
