Bert passed away peacefully in his sleep at Stanford Senior Village where he had lived since October.
He was predeceased by his wife Hilda in 2009. They emigrated to Vancouver in 1957 and lived there until they retired to Parksville in 1986. They enjoyed life in Parksville where they made many friends.
Bert enjoyed fishing for many years and also line dancing. He taught a line dancing class at the Seniors Drop in Centre. They both enjoyed working in their garden together.
