Hermina (Mien) McCaffery
Passed away peacefully at The Gardens at Qualicum Beach on Monday, April 22nd, 2013 at the age of 98.
Hermina was born June 25th, 1914 in Voorburg, Holland.
Hermina was predeceased by her husband, Frank, her sister Henny and brother Frans.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and is survived by her three children, Frank McCaffery (Alice), Edie Harrison, Jane Ostrikoff (Walter) as well as her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Hermina’s life was long and very full. She had many adventures all over the world and wrote a story about it.
A celebration of Hermina’s life will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Anne’s St. Edmund’s Anglican Church, 407 Wembley Road, Parksville, B.C.
She will be dearly missed but happily remembered.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Qualicum Gardens who took such good care of her.
