Ian Hugh Clifton Taylor
July 31, 1938 – September 7, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ian Taylor on September 7th, 2016 at the age of 78. Ian is survived by his loving wife, Gill, his son, Mike (and wife Jennifer), daughter, Cathy (and friend Jennifer) and his two wonderful granddaughters, Lauren and Kristen.
Ian was born in England and trained as a Professional Engineer and moved with Gill, Mike and Cathy to Fort McMurray in 1969. Following an interesting career, including 4 years in Indonesia, Ian and Gill retired to Qualicum Beach in 2001 where Ian enjoyed life playing bridge and golf. He was very involved in designing and constructing sets for the Echo Players and creating a computer seating system for the box office at the Village Theatre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ian’s name to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation, 1200 Dufferin Crescent, Nanaimo, BC V9S 2B7 or to the Oceanside Hospice Society, 210 Crescent Road W, Qualicum Beach, BC V9K 1J9.
