Isabella Geraldine Martin
January 11, 1934 – June 1, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Isabella Geraldine Martin on June 1, 2016.
Isobel will be dearly missed by her husband of 20 years, William Martin, son, Alan Greer, daughter, Allison Greer of Switzerland; as well as grandchildren, extended family members, and many friends including the old line dance group in Nanaimo.
Isobel devoted two days a week to teaching and leading line dancing in Nanaimo and received several awards for doing so. She resided in Parksville for 35 years and met Bill at the Parksville Lawn Bowling Club. They spent 20 wonderful years together.
Isobel was secretary-treasurer of the lawn bowling club before it acquired land. Today it is one of the finest groomed pieces of land in Parksville. Isobel was always willing to lend a hand or give a handout to many people in Parksville and will be missed by many.
In keeping with Isobel’s wishes,
there will be no service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
