In Loving Memory ~

After a short battle with cancer James passed away quietly at home. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Eldest son of Ernie and Gerry.

Predeceased by his wife Betty, his parents, and brother John.

Jim leaves to mourn his passing, daughter Teena, son Brian, and common-law partner Wilma, brother Bruce (Shelley), brother Rob (Lori), and sister Barbara (Adam).

Nieces, Heather, Jesse and nephew lan.

Jim joined the RCMP at the age of 19 serving for 31 years. His time on the force saw him in various parts of Alberta. On retirement in 1998 he and Betty moved to Qualicum Beach where they cleared a lot and built their own house.

Having been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years he joined the local branch number 76 in Qualicum Beach. He held various positions on the executive including four terms as President. He then moved on to be the Zone Commander for the CVI Zone serving two terms, four years.

Up until his recent retirement he was BC/Yukon Command Treasure for seven years.

A memorial service for Jim will be held on Sat., March 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualicum Beach Legion.
