James (Jim) Barker WATSON

December 25, 2014

James Barker (Jim) Watson

April 18 1936 - December 25 2014

It is with sadness we announce the death of Jim who died peacefully at home after a brief but couragous battle with cancer.

Jim was born in Vancouver but spent most of his life in the Qaulicum area which he loved. He was an outdoor man and liked to hike: his favourite areas were Mt. Arrowsmith and Forbidden Plateau. Two of his big thrills were to walk across Comox glacier and stand on top of Mt. Arrowsmith and Mt. Albert Edward.

He was also an antique car fan and enjoyed the many car shows he went to. Jim was predeceased by his father John and mother Gladys. Survived by wife Eileen, brother John (Dorothy), nephew Steve (Lisa) and great-nephew Jon-Robbie. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Thanks to Dr Wagenaar and staff and the palliative care nurses for all their support. Funeral arrangements by Bev Walkey, Qualicum Beach Funeral Centre.
