In loving memory ~

Janette Walker passed away at Nanaimo General Hospital, of natural causes, at 84 years old.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Don, daughters, Donna (Paul), Kerri (Merv), seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and siblings Gail and Doris. She was predeceased by her parents, Arden and Mildred, her brother Lyle, and her son Robert (Sherry).

Mom was born in Dauphin, MB and later moved to Swan River, MB, where she met her future husband, Don, whom she married in August 1958. They celebrated 65 years together.

Mom loved family, golfing, gardening and traveling. She enjoyed traveling to many places, including several trips to Hawaii, and several golf trips to California.

Mom was a long time member of the Parksville-Qualicum Elks, with a special passion for fundraising for the Camp Elkhaven Children's camp on Denman Island.

As a young woman, she loved figure skating and pioneered a figure skating club, where she taught figure skating to youth.

She had a long career with the TD Bank, starting as a teller in Swan River, MB and working her way up to Assistant Manager, finishing her career in Parksville, BC.

There is no memorial service planned at this time.
