DYKEMAN, Jean Adelia

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Dykeman (nee Brewer) on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at St. Josephs Hospital in Comox, BC. Jean was born August 8, 1926, to John and Gladys Brewer (nee Barker) in Upper Keswick, New Brunswick. Her brother Maxwell Brewer and sister Wilhelmina (Mina) Connaught preceded her in death. She will be sadly missed by husband, Tony Melvyn of Deep Bay, BC; her brother, Ralph Brewer and sister-in-law, Barb Brewer, of St. Thomas, Ontario; and loving son, Eric Dykeman, daughter-in-law, Lorna, and granddaughter, Rayna Jean, of Edmonton, Alberta; many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Funeral Service will be held on
Sunday, January 11, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at
Piercy’s Funeral Home, 440 England Ave., Courtenay with Chaplin Gordon Carter officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated in memory of Jean to the Oceanside Hospice Society, 210 Crescent Rd. West, Qualicum Beach, BC, V9K 1J9.
