Joan Emily (Wilcox) Sanofsky

Joan Sanofsky passed quietly in her sleep at the age of 89 during the evening of December 12, 2014 in Qualicum Beach, B.C.
Born in London, England, Joan came to Canada as a war bride in 1944. Joan lived in Calgary where she raised her family with her husband, Al. When they retired Joan and Al moved to Qualicum Beach.
Joan was a past President of the Calgary Service Corps Women’s Auxiliary, a lifetime member of TOPS and an active member of both the Alberta and British Columbia War Brides Associations. She was an avid knitter and loved to tend to her garden.
Pre-deceased by Al, her loving husband of 55 years in 1998, Joan is survived by her son, Michael, of Calgary and her daughter Leslie Kendis of Coronado, California.
Joan will be missed by
her friends and family.
