JOE MOLLIN
May 14, 1964 – August 26, 2014
Joe passed away at Arrowsmith Lodge in Parksville after a progression of dementia. He was a resident of Parksville for the greater part of his life. With Down Syndrome he was educated at the Christopher Robin School in Nanaimo until graduation.
He worked at the Dairy Queen, A&W, and Home Hardware for extra cash to buy sports magazines. He was an avid fan of sports, especially Hockey. Following all the players in the N.H.L. with his favorites the Calgary Flames. Joe also loved playing hockey, baseball and curling, but mostly bowling. He attended Special Olympics at UVIC in Victoria for 40 years.
Joe was a very likeable, friendly person saying “Hi” to anyone on the street.
Thank you to the Ministry of Social Services, Community groups, VIHA, foster families, and care givers throughout his life.
