In Loving Memory (1932-2024) ~
Squadron Leader John England, RAF & RCAF (Ret'd) passed away peacefully following a brief illness, on 26 May 2024, at Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. He was 91 years old.
In 1990, John and Arlene retired to Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, where they established Blue Willow Bed & Breakfast and where John excelled at growing world class Rhododendrons. Dad was heavily involved with the Mount Arrowsmith Rhododendron Society (MARS).
In addition to wife Arlene, he is survived by many descendants. His children, Paul England (Lynn), Jane England Abbott (Marty), Timothy England (Lindy), Michael England (Darlene), Christopher England (Kim), twelve grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his father, Eric and mother Marion, he is survived by his sister Christine. Gratitude and many thanks to the staff on the 3rd floor (Windsor Wing) The Gardens for the amazing care and compassion in looking after Dad for the past two years.
His life will be celebrated at 1100, 15 Jun 2024 at St. Marks Anglican Church, 138 Hoylake Rd. West, Qualicum Beach including interment of ashes and a reception on site.
