With heavy hearts we say good-bye to our beloved (Ronald) John Hancock. After a valiant fight with cancer, John died April 30th at age 58.
He is survived by his wife Kim, sons Spencer and Carter, his mother Patricia, his mother-in-law Ann, sisters Sandra, Sharon, Michele and Sylvia. His sibling Myles (and his mother Chinami), and his nieces and nephews Andreas, Alexis, Mariah, Alexander, Nicola, Jacinthe and Jemma and is predeceased by his father Ron and niece Naima.
After completing a degree in Microbiology at UBC, he graduated from Medical School in Calgary, completed his residency in Regina and then began a practicing in Parkville, BC. His dedication to his patients was deep and heartfelt.
An avid collector and an entrepreneur, John was intrigued by watches, opals, bikes and cars. He had a refined style, a natural sense of elegance, a keen intellect and a wicked wit. He was passionately committed to his family and demonstrated a fierce loyalty to those he loved: husband and father were his most cherished roles.
He will be so dearly missed.
