Our family is saddened to announce the passing of John, loving brother to Margaret, Alma, Beverly & Harriett (Frank) of Ontario.
Caring father to George (Nancy) of Penticton and Susan (David) of Victoria; five grandchildren, Dustin Bignell, Kristy (David Hall) Bignell, Ryan (Jenn) Lomax, Cheryl (Dwayne Bent) Lomax, and Christopher (Leanna) Lomax. John has also been blessed with four great grandchildren, Huck and Luke Bignell and Mason and Hailey Lomax.
In younger days, John worked as a Merchant Marine on the St Lawrence Seaway. He became a Stationary Engineer while raising his family and retired as the Premises Inspector for CIBC for Northern Alberta & the Territories.
A man of many opinions, John was "old school", all the way. Quick to help a friend in need, but if you were looking for easy praise, you picked the wrong guy! He made many wonderful friends on his journey of life and will be missed by all.
