Sjoholm, John (Johnny) Carl

Johnny passed away October 12, 2016 at the age of 45.

He was predeceased by his “Dad” Ken Wilson in 2012, his father Carl Sjoholm in 1979 and his Auntie Lily in 1980. He is survived by his mom Barbara Wilson, brother Ryan Sjoholm (Kirsten), his four step-children (Gary, Aurora, Karmah, and Nevin). He will also be deeply missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends. His best little buddy, Bodhie Sage will miss Johnny’s kind and gentle nature.

Johnny was born in Burnaby and moved to the Oceanside area when he was two. In his mid-teens he packed up and moved to Vancouver to pursue his love of music and to experience the ways of the big city. The beauty of the Island lured him back and once here he found his talents as a cook and finally a painter. He worked many years for Camelot Homes taking great pride in his painting abilities. John was a very talented bass player and drummer, but eventually his arthritis got in his way and he needed a simpler life. Johnny was a kind and gentle man and loved his little place in Errington where he could garden and spend time with family, friends and of course his fur babies.

Rest in peace Johnny. Ride Free.

There will be a celebration of Johnny’s life

Sunday, October 23rd at 1:00 pm at the Errington Hall.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Arthritis society or the local SPCA.
