John (Jack) passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Margaret and daughter, Brenda at his side in Trillium Lodge.

Jack and Margaret retired to Parksville after a full and satisfying life. Jack served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a wireless mechanic during the Second World War. He returned home to farm in Progress, BC until 1988 when he and Margaret moved to Chetwynd for ten years. Jack spent 22 years as a Director on the Peace River Regional District before his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret, his adopted son, Lance (Tiiu) Groner, adopted daughter, Brenda Dunlap, foster son, Curtis (Nellie) Dahl, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will take place at: Trillium Lodge in Parksville, The Royal Canadian Legion in Chetwynd, BC and at Emerald Estates, Building 300 on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 2:00 pm.

The family wishes to convey heartfelt thanks to the staff at Trillium Lodge for their professional, personal care for Jack during his last year of his life with us.
