It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joyce Mary Whitaker.
She will be fondly remembered by her husband Rod, whom she was married to for 48 years, her mother Antonia, and her sons Rory (Fran), Trevor (Lynn) and grandchildren (Karly, Toni, Ron, Peter, and Amanda).
Joyce was born in Nelson, BC on March 4, 1942 and passed away peacefully on July 7, 2009 after a short battle with cancer.
Joyce worked for BC Ferries as a senior staffing clerk for 33 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
