Kay passed on at Trillium Lodge Parksville, BC

on October 9, 2014.

Ernest & Francis Trevelyan, sister Margaret & brother-in-law Ray Price.

Kay leaves behind her loving husband of 43 years John McMurdo of Qualicum Beach, BC and stepdaughter Cathie Earl of Victoria, BC. Kay also leaves behind her nephew Trevor Price & his family as well as stepchildren Ken & Brenda McMurdo and their families.

Kay’s life was a social one, she wore the May Queen of Victoria Crown in 1947 and a very regal affair it was. Kay served as a greeter at the Seattle Worlds Fair, was President of the Ladies Curling Club of Victoria, owned her own dress shop in Oak Bay and worked for many years at Woodward’s Food Floor and for Canada

Safeway in Victoria, BC.

Kay was inducted into the Victoria Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 for her Women’s Basketball teams championship during her younger years.

After marrying John in 1971 Kay moved to Sunningdale Road in Qualicum Beach, BC. There Kay worked for many years at K & R Grocers, followed by Overwaitea until retirement. Kay spent many enjoyable years at the Qualicum Curling Club and the Qualicum Legion.

Kay leaves many valued friends on Vancouver Island. John & Cathie give many thanks to Dr. Wagenaar and the staff at Trillium Lodge.
