June 7, 1917 - December 30, 2018
Kay passed away peacefully at Qualicum Manor at the age of 101 with her daughter by her side.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Charles in 1983. She is survived by her daughter Ann (Dave) Davies, grandchildren Kristen (Benny), and Simon (Julie). She is also survived by her precious great grandchildren Lilly, Noah, Sarah and Wilson.

Kay was born in Sheffield, England and grew up in Chesterfield. She joined the ATS at the beginning of the war and was stationed in Preston, where she met and married Charles.

She lived and worked there until 1978. After retiring, she and Charles moved to Canada to be near their daughter and family in Fruitvale. Her last move was to Qualicum in 2003. She said many times that she could not have found a better place to live.

After moving to Qualicum her appreciation of nature grew and, in particular, she loved the view of the beach, the sky, clouds and trees.

A big thank you to the wonderful staff at Qualicum Manor. Kay received excellent, compassionate care during her nearly 4 years there.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Church, Qualicum Beach on Saturday, 12th January at 2 pm.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Mark's.
