In loving memory ~

With love and sadness in our hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our friend Letitia Anne Gore. Anne died in the Trillium Hospice in Parksville after a short illness with leukemia.

She is survived by her brother, Alan White and his extended family, who mostly still live in Glasgow not too far from where Anne was born.

Always an empathetic person, Anne was born to be a caregiver. She trained as a nurse at the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow, staying in touch with a few good friends from those times, and became a registered nurse in the UK. She emigrated to Canada in the mid-60s and worked as a nurse in North Bay and London, Ontario, before moving to B.C. in the early 70s. She had various nursing positions in Richmond, B.C., before retiring and moving to Parksville in 2018.

Anne was a happy person with a great sense of humour. She loved time with friends and always enjoyed a game of cards or a board game.

A celebration of life for Anne will take place at Knox United Church, 345 Pym St., Parksville at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 13.
