Jan 19, 1927 - June 27, 2017
The family is sad to report the passing of Lois, at 90 years young. Lois lived a full, strong, helpful, wonderful, life, despite early challenges. She lovingly leaves behind a son, David (Gisela), daughter in law Lorraine, grandchildren Matthew (Janice), Graham, Erica (Orion),
and Katarina, as well as
great-grandchildren Murray (rhubarb) and Claire. She was predeceased by her husband, George, and her eldest son, Clinton.
She was many things to many people but always loving, supportive and generous, except when playing cards. She enjoyed friends, hobbies, likes, loves, interests and activities too many to mention. Mom was always especially happy in their Parksville “farm”, and her home garden, which she finished planting just a few days before her stroke. How appropriate! From this city-lot garden Mom and Dad regularly earned most points at the Fall Fair.
Mom was born in Chesterwold, AB and lived in Brightview, AB and Bowsman, MB before moving to Port Alberni in 1948, her first and last home.
In lieu of flowers please buy yourself a house plant and think of her everytime you see it.
A memorial for Lois will be announced
at a later date.
