Audette, Lonny Elizabeth
June 29th, 1939 ~ October 28th, 2007
Lonny passed away peacefully at the
Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. She is
lovingly remembered by her husband Jeff, her daughter Elise and son Joseph (Tammy), grand children Chelsea and Jessica, as well
as her sister Lorelei Meraw (Tom), nephew
Michael Meraw (Kelly & grand niece Ava), nieces Carolyn Stonehouse (Tim) and Lisa Meraw. Lonny devoted her life to the care of people. She graduated as a registered nurse at the Edmonton General Hospital and amongst others worked at the Foothills General Hospital in Calgary as well as the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. She moved to Parksville in May 1980 and returned to nursing at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital in 1987 from where she took mandatory retirement in June 2004.
She will be keenly remembered for her dedication to her profession, her wit and sense of humor. Her passion for cooking was greatly appreciated by her family, many friends, neighbours and extended family, not to mention her various knitting skills.
Lonny leaves a smile in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of Lonny’s life was held at the Church of the
Ascension, Parksville on November 1st at 11:00 am with
Father Jozef Kobos, S.D.S. officiating.
