ESTLIN, MARGARET ALMA STEWART
(PEGGY)
Peggy was born in Victoria, BC, August 16, 1929, daughter of William and Edith Linn (deceased) of New Westminster, BC. She passed away February 3, 2011 in the Rehabilitation Centre of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. She is survived by her husband Ed, of Parksville, her daughters Stephanie and Jennifer, son Paul (Claudia) and grandaughters Lara and Elena, all of North Vancouver and brother Bill (Pat) of Maple Ridge. Peggy received her RN from Royal Jubilee Hospital and nursed in New Westminster and North Vancouver before devoting herself to raising a family and enjoying life with husband Ed sailing on the BC Coast and travelling in their motorhome. She was a 50 year member of the PEO Sisterhood, serving as President of her chapter for two terms. Peggy and Ed moved to Parksville twenty years ago to enjoy life living on the beach after retirement. She was an Honorary Life Member of both Tiddly Cove and Schooner Cove Yacht Clubs. Funeral service will be held Thursday February 17 at 1:30 pm in St. Anne’s- St. Edmunds Anglican Church, 407 Wembley in Parksville, BC. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses of the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for the wonderful care they gave our fighting lady. Contributions to honour Peggy’s memory may be made in her name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
