HUNTER, Margaret Louise
January 28, 1899 - March 1, 2004
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our family's most precious treasure, Margaret Hunter, at Arrowsmith Lodge, with family by her side. Margaret, predeceased by loving husband Harold Trueman, in 1956, a WWI and WWII veteran, and son, Wesley David, in Jan. 2001. Her daughter, Margaret, son-in-law Douglas, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, will miss Margaret dearly. Many thanks to all who helped mom along the way: Nanaimo Life Line, the Mosur family, Parksville Home Support, her bowling buddies, the very caring staff at Arrowsmith Lodge, Dr. Desai and Dr. Cardwell, friends and family that took the time to visit her over the years. I'd like to extend a very special thank-you to Doug and my family for their love and support. Mom was an inspiration to us all. She will be lovingly remembered and in our hearts forever. There will be no service, by request. An interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. It will include the dedication of a Park Bench in Parksville. Donations to the BC Cancer Society, in her memory, would be appreciated.
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle Autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die. Author: Mary E. Frye
