Marilyn Elizabeth Munk, 70, of Parksville, B.C. passed away on January 6, 2022. She was born to Alexander and Marjorie Wilson and grew up in Tisdale, SK with her two older brothers Jack and Ken. She graduated from the University of Victoria in 1974 and began her teaching career teaching elementary school in Golden, BC.
She is predeceased by her husband David Munk (married May 25, 1974).
She is survived by their two children, Nicole Wilson of Victoria and Kristy Tomtene (Mark Tomtene) of Saskatoon.
Marilyn taught at the Saskatoon Christian School for 19 years and liked to joked how "she never passed grade one." Marilyn and David retired in the summer of 2010 in Parksville, BC. Marilyn was an avid gardener and loved spending time with friends, looking after her cat, dog walking, crocheting and visiting her four grandkids: Lauren (who shared a birthday with her) Haley, Nathan and Kelsey. She was a caring, determined, and creative individual and her laughter, kindness, positivity and love will be deeply missed. We thank her for being an amazing part of our lives and she will forever be in our hearts.
