Matilda (Hilda) Clement McCready, resident of Hythe, Alberta, passed away in Hythe on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the age of 95 years.
Matilda was born in Calgary, Alberta and retired to Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. She worked at Eatons in the China department, where she started her love of collecting china.
Matilda enjoyed boating and fishing, bowling, going on cruises, playing bingo, and listening to the organ, piano or any good music.
She will be missed by her sister Dorothy (Dot) Patterson; son James (Jim) McCready; granddaughter Debbie Joe; grandsons: Ken McCready and Don McCready; granddaughter Roxanne Brenner; nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
She was predeceased by her husband James McCready, son Ken McCready and sister Jean MacIntyre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
