Micky (Ethel) Forrest
November 24, 1924 - October 8, 2016
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we must say farewell to our amazing mom, granny and great granny (GG). Micky passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Pat Forrest.
Micky was the youngest of four children born in Douglas, Isle of Man, to Benjamin and Christina Atkinson. She came to Canada as a war bride where she and her husband started their family in Powell River, B.C.
After four years Micky was homesick and they moved to the UK. Eight years later they were Canada bound once again. The family settled in Errington where many happy years were spent.
Micky worked at Trillium Lodge during the 1980’s.
She is survived by her four daughters. Wanda Bergmann, Debby Wright, Cherie (and Terry) Evoy, and Tanya (and Kevin) Buydens, plus
7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
