In loving memory ~
Morley passed peacefully on the morning of August 6th in Trillium Hospice. He is remembered by his wife Shirley, his daughters, Lori (John) and Elizabeth (Rudy), his grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and abundance of friends.
Morley was an avid outdoorsman all his life... skier, snowmobiler, hiker, and had many family camping trips, wide and far. Since retiring in Qualicum Beach in 1997, he has led many hiking and kayak trips. Morley and Shirley were also enthusiastic explorers, they travelled extensively.
They were heavily involved in the early days of the Geocaching community, creating great friendships along the way. Morley spent many hours hiking up and down to the beach in Qualicum to prepare for his one last season of skiing in his 80th year.
He never accepted the fact that his body was betraying him, he fought inactivity until the end. Thank you to everyone who supported him in his walking expeditions over the last year.
Many, many thanks to the amazing staff at Nanaimo General Hospital and Trillium Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Morley's name be made to Trillium Hospice or the Lighthouse Country Trail Group, c/o Val Weismiller, 74 Jamieson Road, Bowser, BC V0R 1G0, or a charity of your choice.
The family has requested that there be no service.
