Paul Halverson

November 27, 1955 - September 18, 2016

With heavy hearts, Paul’s family announces his sudden passing of a brain aneurysm on September 18, 2016.

Paul loved his work in construction, leaving an award-winning legacy all over his home province of Alberta, as well BC, NWT, Nunavut, and Ontario, and meeting many wonderful people along the way. Because of his background coaching minor hockey and baseball, something he loved, he approached work like a coach, cultivating a culture of teamwork on his job sites. Paul was a humble and caring man, who always selflessly put the needs of everyone else before his own.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Debra; daughter, Kristin in Stockholm Sweden; son, Ian in Vancouver, BC; and a broad spectrum of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Emil; mother, Rita; brother, Mark; and sister, Janice; father-on-law, John and the beloved family dog, Cujo.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to make a donation to a cause he was passionate about, the Concussion Legacy Foundation, 4 Parkman Place, Westmount QC H3Y 2L5, or your local SPCA.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring to honour Paul’s memory.

Hug someone you love. Here we go Oilers!
