There was a young laddie from Wynyard
His teaching and sport quite inspired!
Whether chasing a puck down the ice
Or PGOSA dues (by being nice)
From throwing balls and shoes he never retired
This laddie was something of a singer
He built team spirit with his phone, quite the slinger!
Push through any challenge he could
With good cheer and a "jolly dang good"
9 times out of 10, the fine laddie threw a ringer
Peter Kucey gave everything to what he loved and in ways that benefit other people. He watched out for Pat and his 3 lassies always. Peter believed in harmony and expressed his love by helping to create opportunities for education and sport.
He was a renowned educator in Saskatchewan and Manitoba before retiring on the island and setting his sights on recreating with the golden oldies of Oceanside. Peter Kucey is one of the greats, and you just know he's building a team again, hitting a ball around and taking photos (only his roll for birthday songs may have grown a little larger).
Peter is profoundly missed and survived by Patricia, Tanya, Katrina and Kristina, Kaze, Ava, Elena and John, by the "Gang of Five", Parksville Golden Oldies Sports Association members and Oceanside community.
Rest in Peace Our Beloved Papa.
