Reginald John HAWKES
October 10, 1944 – November 25, 2015
Reginald John Hawkes of Nanoose Bay, BC, passed away peacefully at home on November 25, 2015 at the age of 71. Reg was pre-deceased by his parents; his brother, Bob; and sister-in-law, Joanne. Left to remember him are his loving wife, Donna Newall; children Bradley and Nancy Lee; brothers, Jim and Rod (Lisa); sisters in law, Judy Hawkes, Roxanne (Mel), Judy (Del) and Bev (Wayne); grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Reg put up a good fight in his battle with colon cancer. He always left the “angels” at the cancer clinic smiling; teasing and joking with them was a highlight of each visit. Reg was an inspiration to many who witnessed his positive attitude throughout his illness.
Thank you to good friend Wayne for your talks, walks and knowledge of “Foretravels”; to Sandy for your visits and political discussions which Reg always enjoyed; to Joe for your calls, emails and concern; and to Tara and community nursing team.
At Reg’s request, there will be no service.
