Reynold Lawrence Andre Olson
May 19, 1938 – December 22, 2016
Reynold, better known to his family and friends as Ren or Rene, passed away at home in Qualicum Beach on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 78.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet; children, Diane (Tom) Barroll of San Carlos, Mexico, Kelly (Stephen) McDowell of Stouffville, ON, Lyndsay (Dave) Olson of Parksville, BC, and Keith Olson of Port Alberni, BC; grandchildren, Liam, Patrick, Matthew, and Hailey; brother, Daryl (Sandra) Olson of Abbotsford, BC. Ren was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Agnes Olson; brother, Myron, and daughter, Lynn.
Ren’s career began in oilfield sales in Alberta, where he remained for over 30 years. In 1992, he and his family moved to Abbotsford, BC where they owned and operated Gourmet Cup for several years. Ren and his family relocated to Qualicum Beach in 1996 where they owned and operated One Stop Video for 16 years.
Ren will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
