In loving memory ~

Riding in the Heavenly Skies, Richard Thomas Beaven has gone home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Nov. 4th, 2023 at the age of 67.

Rick was an amazing man, loving husband, father, stepfather, host father, brother and avid member of the Motorcycle riding Community. President of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and, a member of CMC, the Armoury Church, Nanaimo Bike Nights and many other groups over the years, his infectious smile, easy-going, gregarious manner, compassion, kind and generous heart, will be missed by many.

You would often see him volunteering at Church and he never missed helping out at the Christian Fellowship Centre Christmas Banquet. Also, a facilitator of the Divorce Care program along with his wife Bettina, for 17 years, he helped so many people in their recovery journey. The list, however, would be endless as Rick actively volunteered in so many different ways. Famous for never missing out on coffee times at Tims with his friends, and lots of riding, Rick always made his family a priority, spending endless hours playing crib and rummy with his wife who also loved riding with him, and more recently with his brother Ed.

As well Rick enjoying spending as much quality time as possible with his dearly beloved sons, daughters, and grandchildren of whom he was endlessly proud. Rick will be profoundly missed by all his family, his extended family, friends and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life to be held at the Christian Fellowship Centre, 825 Village Way, Qualicum on Nov. 26th, 2023 at 2 pm. Potluck luncheon to follow. Memorial Ride prior to service will meet at Chapters in Nanaimo at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers donations to the CMA Run for the Son, in Rick's name, are greatly appreciated.
