Robert William Assaf
February 23, 1937 – October 30, 2015
Bob passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit
in NRGH surrounded by his loved ones.
He will be forever remembered by Betty, his wife of nearly 60 years, four children, Rob (Linda Rayner), Renee (Graham) Boisvert, George (girlfriend Elena Starr) and Kristi (Marty) Cox. Six grandchildren, Chelsea, Robert, Makayla, Shaena, Peyton and Kaylin and sister Darlene (Paul) Williams as well as extended family and friends will also miss his presence.
Born in Trail BC to William and Audrey Assaf, Bob’s life journey took him to McCord Saskatchewan, Edmonton Alberta, and finally to beautiful Nanoose Bay in 1973. Bob’s career included building and renovating homes and commercial buildings and then home inspections. Bob enjoyed many years as a firefighter in the Nanoose Volunteer Fire Department. He instilled a love of community, nature, sports, and music in his family.
