January 10, 1946 – June 15, 2012
After losing a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Dalman, a wonderful husband and father. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 45 years, Elaine, his two children, Darryl (Jill) and Wendy (Brian), and one granddaughter, Bailey.
Ron lived in Port Alberni for most of his life and worked at Jack’s Tire Service and later at Mars Industries as a heavy duty tireman. After retirement he and Elaine moved to Parksville as Ron liked nothing better than going for long walks on the beach.
One of his favorite pastimes was target shooting at the gun range either in Port Alberni or here in Parksville. Because of Ron’s love of driving, Ron and Elaine enjoyed countless numbers of road trips together throughout British Columbia and the United States. Ron will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses who helped Ron through this difficult journey. Special thanks to our family especially brother in law Armand and sister in law Florence who were there for us through the entire journey, all of our friends and our great neighbours for all the support they have given us along the way.
Ron requested that there be no service and in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the BC Cancer Organization or Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.
