RUSSEL LOUIE MORRISON
NOVEMBER 17, 1935 – JUNE 29, 2016
Surrounded by his loving family, Russel died peacefully at sunrise at NRGH June 29th.
Russel is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Eloise, daughter Tammie Toriglia (Tony) Parksville, B.C., son Terry (Janis) Sidney, B.C. and 4 cherished grandchildren Megan and Hailey, Carissa and Brett. Also survived by nephew Michael Morrison (Edmonton, AB). Pre-deceased by his parents Victor and Mae and brothers Bill and Gordon.
Russel was born in Prelate, Sask. but spent all his school years in Prince Rupert, BC. He graduated from UBC in 1960 and started his pharmacy career in Prince Rupert, moving to Parksville in 1969. He was a founding member of Pharmasave 35 years ago having stores in Parksville and Qualicum. He was also a founding member of the Parksville Rotary Club in 1979 and was active in the club until his passing. Volunteering at the Rotary and Benevolent Society Bingo was one of his favorite weekly activities.
The family thanks the staff on Floor 6 and Rehab at NRGH and all of our wonderful friends who cared for us and visited him often over the last 5 months.

Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday July 6th – 1pm
at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, French Creek, BC
