It is with great sadness that we announce that Sharon passed away peacefully on
Oct. 3, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at Nanaimo General Hospital. Born in Victoria B.C., Sharon lived in Nanaimo and Qualicum Beach and then retired in Parksville B.C. Predeceased by her parents, survived by her life companion and loving partner Benno Kattenat, brother Barry Congdon, daughter Kathy Ramadan of Cairo Egypt and four grandchildren, Moneara, Fataya, Alsade and Kareem. Extended family Taraek and Asma Ramadan, Nada, Anfal, Ammar, and Mostaff. Mohamed Ramadan, Saudia Arabia. Lorne and Michelle Soderman, Brock and Kayla. Janine Calder, Chad, Angela and Jeff. Great grandchildren Robert Cashman, Mackenzie Calder and Nash Calder. The family would like to extend it’s heartfelt thanks to the physicians and nursing staff at Nanaimo General Hospital for their care and compassion in Sharon’s time of need. We would also like to thank Sharon’s friends for attending the service that was held on Tues. Oct. 6, 2009 at Yates Funeral Home in Parksville B.C.
