She finished her career as Director of Public Relations at the Park Plaza. Once retired she and her husband followed their dream and retired to Vancouver Island where Shirley was an active member of her community, frequently participating in Royal Canadian Legion events. She took pride and joy in the achievements of her family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. The family would like to especially thank the faculty and staff of the Gardens and Marion Scott who was a comfort to Shirley in her final months. The family will celebrate her life privately and ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Stephen’s Church ststephensucqualicum.ca.
