December 5, 1986 - August 24, 2019
It is with the heaviest of hearts that I report our Spencer was suddenly ripped from our lives in the early morning of August 24th. The vehicle that struck and killed Spencer was found a few hours after the initial hit and run. An RCMP investigation is still on-going. Spencer is predeceased by his mother Lynn Elaine Moore and leaves behind a grieving father, brother, uncle, aunt, nieces and countless friends. In the short span of thirty-two years Spencer touched the lives of many people in such a genuine and loving manner; his loss will be hard to accept. I apologize for this late submission of his obituary but this has been the most difficult undertaking. Spencer was an amazing son, brother and uncle to his two nieces. His friends erected a memorial at the site where he was killed and started a go-fund-me fund to help with funeral expenses. Spencers' sudden loss is impossible to process and the family is extremely grateful for all the love and support we have received. A Parksville boy all of his life, Spencer grew into a wonderful and much loved young man.
A ceremony and celebration of life for this vibrant and loving young soul will be held on November 16, 2019 at 1 pm at the Yates funeral home in Parksville. Friends, family and all who feel our immeasurable loss in this tragic and senseless act are welcome; his mother will be waiting in heaven with open arms.
