Stella Dorothy Van Schouwen

January 26, 1931 - September 12, 2013
It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear mother and wife Stella on September 11, 2013 with her family by her side.
Mom was born in Ashford Kent, England to parents Stanley and Florence Crews. She immigrated to Canada in 1965 with her first husband, John and four children, residing in many locations across Canada before settling in Parksville. There she would meet her adoring husband Bill.
Mom loved to line dance, sing and travel as well as spend precious time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Stella is survived by the love of her life, her husband Bill; children, Shirley (Lester), Pamela (Ken) and Raymond (Dianne), sister Patricia Woodward; brothers, David (Joan) and Ron (Jean) Crews as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband John and son Stephen as well as both her parents.
Mom will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Trillium Lodge who provided care for her up to the time of her passing.
A Celebration of Llife will be held on Saturday, September 21, at 756 Humphrey Street,
Parksville BC at 2:00 pm.
