Sylvia was born in Victoria BC, and passed away peacefully in Nanaimo General Hospital with her husband Fred Woodske by her side.
Sylvia had a sharp sense of humour and infectious laughter which her friends and family found most appealing. Sylvia and Fred moved to Errington after her retirement from the Royal Jubilee Hospital where she found her love of the country style life.
Sylvia enjoyed being in her garden where she had the ability to create a unique and beautiful space for her and Fred, as well as friends and family. Other interests for Sylvia was making beautiful pottery pieces, traveling with her sister Gail, baking and her love of her dogs; Becca & Julie, and cats Sam & Pumpkin.
Sylvia is survived by her husband Fred of 28 years; Sister Gail, daughter Lynda, son Graham (Melanie), stepdaughters Deanne (Jeff ), Tanya (Kevin), along with seven grandchildren and two great granddaughters. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. If desired, donations may be made to the BC SPCA or a charity of your choice.
