LAVIOLETTE, Thomas Arthur (Art)
Of Errington, B.C., passed away at home on December 09, 2002 at the age of 78 years.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Louise; 2 daughters, Karen (Bill) Driol of Richmond, B.C. and Janie (Mark) Richter of Victoria, B.C.; 2 grandsons, Daniel of Vancouver, B.C. and Nigel of Victoria, B.C.; 1 sister, Janet (George) Ross of Williams Lake, B.C. and many special nieces and nephews.
Art served with the Royal Canadian Navy in WWII, he later worked for the Vancouver Parks Board for 25 years in various positions. He was proud of his work on the Stanley Park sea wall and of his position as foreman and greenskeeper at Fraserview Golf Course. Art was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a strong role model for everyone in the Laviolette and Anderson families as well as many others.
Art will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. The family would like to thank everyone who supported Art during his illness.
A Celebration of Art’s Life will be held at a later date.
