Thomas Goodrick Wilson
February 21, 1937 – June 22, 2014
Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise; children, Dean and Linda, Victor, David and Marnie, Timothy and Meghan; grandchildren, Christopher and Desiree, Michael, Justin, Christopher, Jessica and Nathan; brother, Walt; sister, Linda and their families. He was predeceased by brothers Alfred and Richard.
A loving husband and father of 58 years, Tom was known for his faithfulness and devotion to the Lord and his family. Born in Vancouver, Tom moved to Powell River at a young age where he lived, worked 45 years as a steam engineer for MacMillan Bloedel, and met the love of his life, Louise.
They retired to Parksville in 2006 where Tom loved his morning walks on the boardwalk with his beloved King Charles Spaniel, Misty, hockey games, and coffee with the guys. He enjoyed his garden, listening to gospel music, and time with his family. Right to the end Tom enjoyed his life to the fullest.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 27th at the Oceanside Community Church, 1420 Alberni Highway in Parksville.
A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Tom’s memory with a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Teen Challenge.
