Tjitske Nelly (Tilly) Koreman
(nee Van den Abeele)
April 1, 1930 – February 7, 2014
Tilly passed away peacefully on February 7, 2014 in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Palliative Care Unit. She was born on April 1, 1930 in Noord-Scharwoude (the Netherlands). Tilly is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Robert (Bob) Koreman. She also leaves behind children; Renate Tingley , Raymond Koreman , Roland (Elaine) Koreman, Randall (Carol) Koreman, Robert (Nadine) Koreman, Reuben (Sarah) Koreman; grandchildren, Danielle, Tianna, Taryn, Rachel, Andrew, and Ebony.
Bob and Tilly were married in Amsterdam on May 20, 1955 and immigrated to Braelorne, BC in 1957. They lived in Abbotsford, Kimberley, and Langley before retiring to Qualicum Beach in 1989. Tilly enjoyed walking on the beach, volunteering at the Qualicum Senior Center, and playing bridge.
