In loving memory ~
Billi left us on Valentine's Day to be with the love of her life, her husband Andy. She leaves behind her children: Kim Lock (Marvin), Chris Nicol (Aum), and Andrea Klassen (Keric) and their families, as well as many relatives and friends to mourn her absence and cherish memories of her.
Billi was born in Toronto, but grew up on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, which she always referred to as "down home". She married Andy Nicol, a Naval Officer, in 1954. They lived in many places across Canada before retiring to Parksville, B.C. in 1994.
Billi was a dedicated teacher and lifelong learner. She continued her love of teaching into her mid-80s, offering courses she developed for Elder College. Billi had a zest for life, loved adventure, travelling and being in nature. She led by example as to how to live a long, healthy and happy life with integrity.
Thank you to all who played a part in caring for and enriching her life in her later years.
Because Billi loved children, animals and nature, if you wish to make a donation in her name, please make it to a charity of your choice with that in mind. As per Billi's wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, to honour her, spend a bit of time in nature, remembering her.
