February 14, 1943 – January 10, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Haywood; husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. After a very short battle with colon cancer Bill found peace and serenity at the age of 69. He was predeceased by his father, Donald, his mother Helen and first wife Penny. Bill is survived by his loving wife Helen of 30 years; 2 children, Beth and Tracy (Rick); 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; his sister Dona and 2 nieces Cass and Tanya as well as his cousin Catherine Kerr and her family. Bill was a friend of Bill W. for 32 years and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched in Richmond, Vancouver and Parksville-Qualicum. In recent times he and his buddy “Fergus” took to the agility rings in the Central Island region with an enthusiasm that only he could have and great gusto when Fergus received his coveted title in the summer of 2011.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on January 26, 2013 at 2pm at
St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 2600 Powder Point Rd, Nanoose Bay, BC.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC SPCA, Parksville-Qualicum Branch in memory of Bill or a charity of your choice.
