Winifred Margaret Miller
(nee Calthrop)
March 2, 1925 – June 20, 2014
Our beloved Win died peacefully at home with her family at her side. She was pre-deceased by her sister Susan and her son Arthur, and is survived by Arthur “Kelly”, her loving husband of 65 years, sons Jim, Bob, Michael and daughter Susie, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Born on Saltspring Island, Win moved to Vancouver and began her long and illustrious career in public health. She never really retired! She volunteered for numerous organizations, donated generously to charity, and lent a hand whenever and wherever needed. Win and Kelly later travelled the world. She touched hearts and made lasting friendships wherever they went. In addition to her tireless energy and hard work, Win had a wild sense of humour, and great compassion for everyone around her.
We will miss her greatly, but we will never forget her!
A memorial celebration will be held at the
Craig Bay Estates Beach Club in Parksville at
2 pm on Friday July 18th, 2014.
